While Karl Lagerfeld may have been a fashion designer, he also dabbled in creating fabulous interiors. His spaces are timeless, elegant, infused with elements of surprise.
Mr. Lagerfeld was notoriously adorned in black and white. Hints of the same palette made their way into his work. An example seen here is Palazzo Fendi where Lagerfeld’s black-and-white photographs of Rome are framed in clear acrylic.
We are based in Miami, so it couldn’t go unmentioned that Lagerfeld also designed the lobby at Estates of Acqualina right in our own backyard! Set to open next year, more of Lagerfeld’s black and white photography of Roman fountains and arches can be found here. The photos adorn wall panels, ceiling screens, and skylights and are set over a sophisticated and fresh palette of white and silver.
